Katy Rose - Mama Rose’s Cottage
Katy Rose Peebels has been self-employed for the last 16 years as an ASL Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and as a Virtual Administrative Assistant for 2 years. In her own chronic pain journey (with a Fibromyalgia, Hashimotos, and Celiac Disease set of diagnosis), she has worked with holistic health workers for many years. After seeing just how much of her pain can be managed (in addition to, plus) outside of traditional Western medicine through holistic wellness, she decided to start her own healer’s journey.
In the past few years, Katy Rose has worked closely with Jen as her social media and general admin assistant. During her time working with Jen, she felt hope and excitement in becoming a deeper part of the Holistic Journey as a member of the healing collective and started with multiple external trainings as well as seeking mentorship from Jen, the founder of Holistic Journey, directly.
Obtaining certification to become a Meditation Coach in 2024, she has now put her daily meditation practice into a more professional format to make it available to more people. It’s one of her goals to dispel that meditation is too hard to do. “Meditation is for everyone,” says Katy Rose, “in fact, you may already be doing it without realizing it. Let’s transform that into a more mindful practice together, to reap the benefits!” Katy Rose now offers one-on-one Meditation Coaching through private booking as well as regular meditation practices in the Holistic Journey Healing Collective offices and with our community partners such as the O’Fallon Public Library and O’Fallon Parks & Recreation department.
Crafting is another form of meditation for Katy Rose and she shares her spiritual crafts and designs through her Shopify Store - as well as at various vendor events throughout the year.
Lastly, Katy Rose is training remotely with Yin Yoga World out of Bali, Indonesia to receive her Yin Yoga Teacher Training (200hr YTT). She’s already halfway through the training and has been encouraged by her teacher (due to her thorough, early knowledge and appraised deep understanding of what students in chronic pain will benefit from) to begin leading classes and individualized Yin Yoga Coaching sessions. She is slated to finish this training in full before the end of 2024!
