Late Arrivals and/or time adjustments

Regardless of the duration of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full session you originally booked. Thank you for understanding.
Where do I start??? What should I book?
Many people have questions and that is great! Please review the information available throughout this website and then ask a specific question. Or maybe the question is better formed during or after your session, as you are processing old stuff that is being released (emotionally) and you wish to understand deeper layers. Each session includes time for consult because it is important to discuss what you are ready to work on changing / releasing from your body and mindset so that you can FEEL FREE TO MOVE, LIGHTER and HAPPIER OVERALL.
Can I get Deep Tissue work?
Asking for more "deep tissue" does not mean your body is ready for it. Please consider if you are ready to dig deeper internally, to partner with your healing journey to make deep tissue / pain relief work more effective.
Do you offer Traditional Thai Bodywork?
No, Jen’s work is blended or Fusion of Thai and other modalities. Jen has limited (vs extensive) Thai Bodywork training. Please note “floor work” for more Thai-based work.
Do I leave my clothes on? (Bodywork or Reiki - YES!)
Yes, if you're more comfortable that way - always an option to leave clothing on. It's preferred to work over clothing for Thai bodywork and stretching. No Jeans, comfortable clothing like yoga pants or gym pants to move easier.
When do I remove under garments?
This is optional - if receiving a massage therapy (or combined) session with oil/lotion, and you need glute work for hip mobility and low back pain, you can skip the under garments, as you will be appropriately draped. However, joint mobility with glute / hip work is included over the sheets without disturbing under garments.
To Tip or not to tip?
Tipping is SOOO appreciated! We are super fond of "PAY IT FORWARD" and feel those who tip 20% + are contributing to the services of those who skip tipping or tip less (due to budgeting purposes and/or financial need and this is completely understood). Essentially tips balance out support for our businesses, and what else we might be able to offer to our community, like free mini videos or inspiration. Jen’s rates are set to cover CC fees and to not require tips to continue to do this work.
Why should I value self-care?
We are all limited by time, resources, and our priorities. We see professionals regularly for healing and know how important it is that we maintain our wellness to be of the best service to others. We provide the best quality of work and healing when we are rested, balancing life/work and choose to limit our schedules and time appropriately for our self-care, etc. With this wisdom, we seek to encourage valuing self-care to be at our individual highest and best self.
Jen's rates may be higher than some massage therapy places because of what is possible from combination healing work. When you prioritize what you receive through healing work, your commitment to your personal healing and well-being can be more present, which brings better results for you.
Why the higher rates?
Jen understands some people need healing before they VALUE their bodies and the healing they receive. If you are ready and rates are inaccessible - please email holisticjourney9@gmail.com and we will send you a code to work within your needs.

What do you offer for allergies?
PLEASE let us know before the session (in note/comment or email) OR BRING your own oil. We diffuse essential oils so if you prefer not to have that option - we need to know before the session. Jen uses Biotone Truly Coconut oil, CBD oil or Santa Barbara Cream (contains Olive Oil, coconut oil, Beeswax, plus essential oils - this is all natural and edible).
Does Massage therapy or bodywork help with pain or limited mobility?
Yes - tell us what's going on before and/or during the session so we can help with any chronic or acute pain issue. You can add a note ahead, point or tell us where the pain appears, although we will work on other areas that contribute to the issue.
Do you have Special Accommodations for comfort or getting on to the table?
Wheelchair accessible office. We can do some sessions from seated in your wheelchair. We also have extra pillows for propping or you can rest side-lying if laying on your back or stomach is uncomfortable. Our middle room has a lift table so it can be lowered to get onto, if that is an option.
